Artist Statement
Welcome to my tactile world. My sculptural collection of paintings are object assemblages inspired by nature and hand work craft history.
Conceptually, I enjoy playing with what is considered real and artificial in painting. My illusion work of repurposing textiles, and artificial plants gives the impression of something more magical than it's parts.
I use applications of acrylic gels, incorporated with hand sewing techniques for sculptural effects and texture.
